Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information CaprinaeVUE (operated by Falkner Systems) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to run your herd records, we don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.

What we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and a password (stored only as a one-way hash), plus your farm name and time zone.
• Farm records you enter: animals, health and breeding records, kidding, milk and weight data, tasks, notes, and any photos or documents you upload.
• Team and contacts: email addresses or phone numbers of teammates you invite and alert contacts you add.
• Billing information: if you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your plan, subscription status, and billing dates, but never your full card number.
• Technical data: basic server logs (such as IP address, browser, and timestamps) used to keep the service secure and working.

How we use it

• to provide, maintain, and secure CaprinaeVUE;
• to send the emails, reminders, and notifications you ask for, and essential account messages;
• to process subscriptions and prevent fraud;
• to respond to support requests and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal information or your farm records, and we do not use them for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that help us run CaprinaeVUE, and only what they need to do their job. These include Stripe (payments), our email delivery providers (transactional email), and our hosting infrastructure. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect people's safety. Other farms can never see your records; your data is separated by farm.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and the app working. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Security and retention

We use access controls, encrypted connections, and regular backups to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password. We keep your records for as long as your account exists. Backups roll off on a regular schedule.

Your choices

• You can view and edit your records and account information in the app.
• You can export your records.
• You can ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing us. We'll confirm and complete it within a reasonable time, except where we must keep limited information for legal or billing reasons.

Children

CaprinaeVUE is a business tool and isn't directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. If a change is significant we'll tell you by email or in the app, and the date above will change.
