What is CaprinaeVUE?#
CaprinaeVUE is a cloud-based goat herd management platform designed specifically for dairy and meat goat operations. It tracks breeding, kidding, milk testing, health records, and provides ADGA-compliant reporting.

Yes! CaprinaeVUE works on:

The web interface is fully responsive. A native mobile app is on the roadmap.
Features & Capabilities#
What breeds does it support?#
All goat breeds! CaprinaeVUE is breed-aware for:
- Standard breeds (Saanen, Alpine, Nubian, Toggenburg, etc.) - 150-day gestation
- Miniature breeds (Nigerian Dwarf, Mini-breeds) - 145-day gestation
- Custom - Enter specific gestation days for any breed
Does it work with ADGA?#
Yes! CaprinaeVUE supports:
- ADGA registration number format
- Production Star (*M) eligibility calculation
- Breed-specific production standards
- Milk test data export for ADGA submission
Note: We don't directly integrate with ADGA's online system. You export data and submit separately.
Can I import DHIA test results?#
Yes! Two methods:
- Manual entry - Spreadsheet-style entry for each test
- PDF/image import - Upload DHIA lab sheet, OCR extracts data (review before committing)
The system uses goat-specific SCC interpretation with proper thresholds for goats.
Does it track lineage?#
Yes! Track dam/sire relationships for:
- Breeding records
- Pedigrees
- ADGA registration
- Genetic analysis (future feature)
Can I export my data?#
Absolutely! Export to CSV anytime:
- Animal lists
- Breeding records
- Milk test data
- Health records
- Custom reports

Getting Started#
How do I sign up?#
- Go to www.caprinaevue.com/register
- Create your account with email and password
- Set up your farm profile
- Start adding animals!
Can I import existing data?#
Yes! We support:
- Animal CSV import - Bulk import animal records
- Manual entry - Add breeding, milk tests individually
Contact support@caprinaevue.com for help migrating from other systems.
How long does setup take?#
First login: 5-10 minutes to set up your farm profile
Adding data:
- Import CSV of animals: A few minutes
- Manual entry: Depends on herd size
- Most farms are up and running within an hour
What's the first thing to do?#
- Create your farm profile
- Add your animals (import CSV or manual entry)
- Set up groups (milking does, dry does, kids, etc.)
- Invite team members
- Start recording events!

Data & Security#
Is my data safe?#
Yes! We take data security seriously:
- Automatic backups - Daily database backups
- Secure storage - Enterprise-grade hosting
- Encrypted connections - All data transmitted via HTTPS

Can other farms see my data?#
No! Each farm's data is completely isolated. Other users cannot see your animals, records, or reports.
What if I want to stop using CaprinaeVUE?#
Your data is yours! You can:
- Export all data to CSV anytime
- Download reports before canceling
- No vendor lock-in
Where is my data stored?#
Data is securely stored in professional data centers with redundancy and backup systems.
Team & Access#
Can I add multiple users?#
Yes! Add as many team members as you need with different permission levels:
- Admin - Full access, manage users, change settings
- Manager - Add/edit records, run reports (no user management)
- Viewer - Read-only access, view and export data
How do I invite team members?#
- Go to Settings → Team
- Click "Invite User"
- Enter their email address
- Select their role (Admin, Manager, Viewer)
- They'll receive an invitation email
Can I remove a user?#
Yes! Admins can remove team members at any time in Settings → Team.

Currently, you need an internet connection to use CaprinaeVUE. Offline mode is on the roadmap for the mobile app.

Internet Explorer is not supported.
